The Redmi Note 14 5G is a well-judged budget 5G phone. It leads with the features that matter most day to day - a bright 120 Hz AMOLED, a 108 MP main camera with OIS, dependable 5110 mAh battery life, and welcome extras like a headphone jack, microSD and an IR blaster. The compromises are sensible for the price: 1080p-only video, an IP64 (not IP68) build, Wi-Fi 5, and a mid-range Dimensity 7025-Ultra that handles everyday tasks well but isn't built for heavy gaming. For the money, it covers the fundamentals better than most.
Great value, the OIS camera surprised me
Didn't expect OIS at this price. Photos come out sharp and night shots are usable. The 120Hz AMOLED is bright enough outdoors and battery easily lasts a full day. Happy I kept the headphone jack too.
Solid all-rounder, just don't expect 4K
Smooth for daily use - social media, browsing, light games all fine. The only thing that bugs me is video maxes out at 1080p. For the price though it's hard to complain. HyperOS has some bloat but you can disable most of it.
Best budget 5G Redmi right now
Bought the 8/256 version. Feels fast for everyday stuff and the screen is genuinely good. Heavy games like the popular battle royale need medium settings, but that's expected. microSD slot and IR blaster are nice bonuses.

The standard Note 14 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra with a flat FHD+ AMOLED, a 108 MP OIS camera, 45W charging and an IP64 build. The Pro and Pro+ step up to faster chips (Dimensity 7300-Ultra / Snapdragon 7s Gen 3), a curved 1.5K display, a 200 MP camera, much faster 120W charging, and IP68 water resistance - at noticeably higher prices.
Yes. The 108 MP main camera on the global model includes optical image stabilisation (OIS), which helps with low-light shots and steadier video - a feature not always found at this price.
It supports 45W wired charging for its 5110 mAh battery. There is no wireless charging. A full charge takes roughly an hour.
It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and resistant to water splashes from any direction. It is not rated for submersion - avoid dunking it in water.
Yes to both. The Note 14 5G keeps a 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports microSDXC expansion (via the shared SIM slot), along with an IR blaster and stereo speakers.
No. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30fps with gyro-EIS. There is no 4K video capture on this model.
It comes in 6 GB, 8 GB and 12 GB RAM options with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, depending on region, plus microSD expansion.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G is the affordable, sensible-shoes member of the Note 14 family - the one that brings 5G and the headline Redmi essentials to the lowest price in the line. It skips the curved glass and 200 MP sensor of the Pro+ in favour of a flat 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED that still hits a bright 2100 nits, a 108 MP OIS main camera, and the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra - the first phone to ship with that chip.
This is the phone for buyers who want a clean, modern Redmi experience without paying for the Pro extras: a high-res, stabilised main camera for everyday photos, a smooth 120 Hz screen, all-day battery, and 5G - all at entry-mid pricing. If you don't need 120W charging, a curved panel, or IP68, the standard Note 14 5G covers the fundamentals well.
Camera: a 108 MP f/1.7 main sensor with OIS leads a triple setup, joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro.
Display: a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED at 1080 x 2400 (FHD+), 120 Hz, and up to 2100 nits peak, under Gorilla Glass 5.
Battery: a 5110 mAh cell with 45W wired charging - a full day of use with room to spare.
Extras kept: a 3.5 mm headphone jack, microSD expansion, an IR blaster, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The savings show in a few places. Video tops out at 1080p - there's no 4K recording. The build is IP64 (splash-resistant, not submersible), Wi-Fi is the older Wi-Fi 5 standard, and the Dimensity 7025-Ultra is a capable mid-range chip rather than a gaming powerhouse - its two performance cores cap heavy multitasking and demanding 3D titles. There's no wireless charging. None are surprising at the price, but they're the lines that separate this from the Pro models.
The Redmi Note 14 5G is a well-balanced budget 5G phone: a bright 120 Hz AMOLED, a genuinely useful 108 MP OIS camera, dependable battery life, and the small conveniences - jack, microSD, IR - that Redmi fans appreciate. Compare it head-to-head with rivals in our specs compare tool.
