The Xiaomi 13 nailed the compact-flagship brief for 2023. It fits the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a bright flat 6.36-inch AMOLED, strong battery life, and a Leica triple camera with a genuine 3.2x telephoto into a sub-190 g frame. The 67W charging cap, Gorilla Glass 5, USB 2.0 port and now-older silicon are the catches - but at today's reduced prices it's an easy compact recommendation.
The compact flagship I'd been waiting for
Small enough to use one-handed but it doesn't feel cut down. Battery life is genuinely excellent - the 8 Gen 2 is so efficient it easily lasts my day with charge to spare. The flat screen is bright and crisp, and having a real 3.2x telephoto on a phone this size is rare. Love it.
Great little phone, a few corners cut
Main camera and telephoto are good for the size and the build feels premium with IP68. My notes: 67W charging is fine but not the 120W you get on the Pro, and it's only Gorilla Glass 5 up front. MIUI 14 needed some cleanup. For a compact, though, it's one of the best.
Still a great buy now
Performance from the 8 Gen 2 is plenty for everything and the screen looks great. Now that it's cheaper it's a brilliant compact pick. USB 2.0 is a bit slow for moving files and I wish it had the newer chip, but the size, battery and camera make it easy to recommend.

Yes. It has a 6.36-inch flat display and weighs from 185 g with a 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.0 mm body, making it one of the more pocketable flagships of its generation while keeping top-tier internals.
A Leica-tuned triple camera: a 50 MP main (Sony IMX800) with OIS, a 10 MP 3.2x telephoto with OIS, and a 12 MP ultrawide. The front camera is 32 MP. Unlike the 13 Ultra, the telephoto and ultrawide use smaller sensors and there is no periscope.
The 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550-AB) with an Adreno 740 GPU, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It's a strong, efficient 2023 flagship chip.
The Xiaomi 13 has a 4500 mAh battery with strong real-world life. It supports 67W wired charging (about 38 minutes to full), 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Yes. It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and water-resistant in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for 30 minutes. It is not built for swimming or saltwater.
The standard 13 is the compact model: a flat FHD+ screen, a 50 MP main with smaller 10 MP/12 MP secondary cameras, and 67W charging. The 13 Pro and 13 Ultra step up to larger 1-inch-class main sensors, higher-resolution telephotos, WQHD curved displays, and faster (120W/90W) charging.
Global pricing launched at around EUR 999 for 8 GB + 256 GB. There was no broad official Bangladesh launch, so local grey-market/used listings now run roughly BDT 62,000 to BDT 75,000 depending on the variant and condition.
The Xiaomi 13 was the company's 2023 compact flagship, and it proved a small phone could still feel complete. It pairs a flat 6.36-inch AMOLED peaking at 1900 nits with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and keeps the Leica camera identity with a triple system that, unlike most compacts, includes a genuine 3.2x telephoto. A 4500 mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus IP68 sealing, rounds out a phone built to disappear in a pocket.
This is for people who want a flagship that's easy to hold and use one-handed. You get the same top-tier 2023 chip, a bright flat screen, very strong battery life, and a Leica triple camera with a real zoom lens. It suits buyers who value a smaller footprint and dependable all-day endurance, and who don't need the larger 13 Pro's bigger sensor or 120W charging. With prices now well below launch, it's also a value pick for the size.
Camera: a Leica triple - a 50 MP main (Sony IMX800, OIS), a 10 MP 3.2x telephoto with OIS, and a 12 MP ultrawide.
Display: a 6.36-inch flat FHD+ AMOLED at 120 Hz, up to 1900 nits peak, with Dolby Vision.
Performance: the 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Battery: a 4500 mAh cell with strong real-world endurance, 67W wired (full in ~38 min), 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless.
The compact, value-focused approach shows in a few places. Charging caps at 67W rather than the 13 Pro's 120W, the front glass is Gorilla Glass 5 rather than Victus, and the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0 speeds. The telephoto and ultrawide use smaller sensors than the main, and it shipped on MIUI 14 with bloatware and regional ads. It now runs the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and had no broad official Bangladesh launch, so most local stock is grey-market.
The Xiaomi 13 is one of the better compact flagships of its year - genuinely pocketable, with strong battery life, a bright flat screen and a Leica triple camera with real zoom. With prices down from launch it's solid value, provided you can live with 67W charging and last-gen silicon. Compare it against current compact flagships in our specs compare tool.
