The Xiaomi 15 proves a small phone doesn't have to mean small hardware. It packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a bright flat 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED, and a Leica triple camera with a genuine 2.6x floating telephoto into a 191 g frame, plus 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The telephoto and ultrawide trail the main sensor, and HyperOS bloat and a flagship price are the catches - but as a compact flagship, little else competes.
Finally, a small phone that doesn't compromise
I've wanted a compact flagship for years and this nails it. One-handed use is effortless, the flat screen is bright enough for harsh sun, and it's still got the full Snapdragon 8 Elite. The 2.6x telephoto is a genuinely useful lens that most small phones skip. Battery easily lasts my day and 90W tops it up fast.
Great main camera, the others are just okay
The main 50 MP sensor with Leica color is excellent and the telephoto is good in daylight. Ultrawide and low-light zoom are a clear step below - if photography is your only priority the Ultra is better. For everything else this is a brilliant, pocketable phone.
Fast and compact, but trim the software
Performance is flagship-grade and it stays cool. HyperOS 2 is smooth once you remove the pre-installed apps and turn off recommendation notifications. Wireless charging at 50W on a phone this size is a nice touch. Only real gripe is the price for the compact size.

Yes. It has a 6.36-inch flat display and weighs 191 g with a 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm body, making it one of the more pocketable Android flagships while still using top-tier internals.
A Leica-tuned triple camera: a 50 MP main (Light Fusion 900) with OIS, a 50 MP 2.6x floating telephoto with OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide. The front camera is 32 MP. Unlike the 15 Ultra, there is no 200 MP periscope.
The global model has a 5240 mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W wired HyperCharge, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The 3 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750-AB) with an Adreno 830 GPU, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and water-resistant in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for 30 minutes. It is not built for swimming or saltwater.
The 15 is the compact model: a smaller 6.36-inch flat screen, a Leica triple camera, and a 5240 mAh battery. The 15 Ultra is larger and heavier with a 6.73-inch screen, a Leica quad camera including a 1-inch main sensor and a 200 MP periscope, and faster 80W wireless charging.
Global pricing starts around $1,047 / EUR 999 / GBP 899 for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. There is no official Bangladesh launch, so local unofficial/gray-market listings run roughly BDT 63,000 to BDT 67,000 depending on the variant and retailer.
The Xiaomi 15 is the compact flagship of the 15 family - a phone that fits flagship hardware into a genuinely pocketable 6.36-inch, 191 g body. It pairs a flat LTPO AMOLED that peaks at 3200 nits with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite, and keeps the Leica camera identity with a triple 50 MP system that includes a real 2.6x floating telephoto - the kind of optical reach most small phones drop. A 5240 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging rounds it out.
This is the flagship for people who are tired of giant phones but won't give up the internals. You get the same top-tier chip and a bright, flat screen that's easy to use one-handed, plus a Leica triple camera with a useful zoom lens. It suits buyers who value pocketability, a clean flat display for reading and typing, and fast charging, without stepping all the way up to the larger, heavier 15 Ultra.
Camera: a Leica triple system - a 50 MP main (Light Fusion 900, OIS), a 50 MP 2.6x floating telephoto with OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide.
Display: a 6.36-inch flat 1.5K LTPO AMOLED at 120 Hz, up to 3200 nits peak, with Dolby Vision and Xiaomi Shield Glass.
Performance: the 3 nm Snapdragon 8 Elite with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Charging: a 5240 mAh Si/C battery with 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless.
A compact flagship still makes compromises. The telephoto and ultrawide can't match the main sensor - or the 15 Ultra's far bigger camera hardware - so this is a strong everyday shooter rather than a zoom monster. HyperOS 2 remains feature-packed but ships with bloatware and, in some regions, ads. And for a 'small' phone the price sits firmly in flagship territory. There's no headphone jack and no expandable storage.
The Xiaomi 15 is one of the best compact Android flagships you can buy: full Snapdragon 8 Elite power, a brilliant flat screen, a versatile Leica triple camera and quick charging, all in a hand-friendly frame. If you want the bigger camera hardware you step up to the Ultra - otherwise this is the smarter size. Compare it against rivals in our specs compare tool.
A true compact flagship: Snapdragon 8 Elite, a flat 3200-nit screen and a Leica triple camera with real 2.6x zoom, in a 191g body.
