The Xiaomi 14 is one of the best compact flagships of its year. It fits the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a bright flat 6.36-inch LTPO OLED, and a Leica triple camera with a genuine 3.2x floating telephoto into a sub-190 g frame, with fast 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Thermal throttling under load, an autofocus-less ultrawide and last-gen silicon are the catches - but at today's reduced prices it's an easy compact recommendation.
A small phone that finally does it all
I've been waiting for a compact flagship that doesn't cut corners and this is it. The flat screen is bright and easy to use one-handed, performance is flagship-grade, and the 3.2x telephoto is genuinely useful - most small phones don't even have one. Battery is fine for the size and 90W charges it crazy fast.
Great camera and screen, runs warm under load
The main and telephoto are excellent and the Leica colors look great. Two honest notes: it gets noticeably warm and throttles in long gaming sessions, and the ultrawide can't autofocus so close-ups on that lens are soft. For photos and everyday use though, it's brilliant and pocketable.
Excellent value now
Since the price dropped this is a steal for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 compact with a Leica triple camera. HyperOS needed a bit of cleanup of pre-installed apps. The selfie camera is just okay. But the size, screen and main camera make it my favourite small Android in a while.

Yes. It has a 6.36-inch flat display and weighs from 188 g with a 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.2 mm body, making it one of the more pocketable flagships of its generation while keeping top-tier internals.
A Leica-tuned triple camera: a 50 MP main (Light Fusion 900) with OIS, a 50 MP 3.2x floating telephoto with OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide. The front camera is 32 MP. Unlike the 14 Ultra, there is no 1-inch sensor and no periscope.
The 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650-AB) with an Adreno 750 GPU, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Note it can throttle under sustained heavy load in this compact body.
The Xiaomi 14 has a 4610 mAh battery. It supports 90W wired HyperCharge (about 31 minutes to full), 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Yes. It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and water-resistant in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for 30 minutes. It is not built for swimming or saltwater.
The 14 is the compact model: a 6.36-inch flat screen, a Leica triple camera (50 MP main, no periscope), and a 4610 mAh battery. The 14 Ultra is larger and heavier with a 6.73-inch screen, a Leica quad camera including a 1-inch variable-aperture main and a 5x periscope, and a bigger 5000 mAh battery with 80W wireless charging.
Global pricing launched at around EUR 999 / GBP 849 for 12 GB + 256 GB. There was no broad official Bangladesh launch, so local grey-market/import listings now run roughly BDT 88,000 to BDT 95,000 depending on the variant and retailer.
The Xiaomi 14 is the compact member of the 2024 flagship line, and it proved a small phone needn't mean a stripped-down one. It pairs a flat 6.36-inch LTPO OLED peaking at 3000 nits with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and keeps the Leica camera identity: a triple 50 MP system with a genuinely useful 3.2x floating telephoto. A 4610 mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging rounds out a phone built to disappear in a pocket.
This is for people who want a flagship that's actually easy to hold and use one-handed. You get the same top-tier 2024 chip, a bright flat screen, and a versatile Leica triple camera with a zoom lens that most compact phones skip - all without stepping up to the much larger 14 Ultra. With prices now well below launch, it's also an appealing value buy for anyone who prizes a smaller footprint.
Camera: a Leica triple - a 50 MP main (Light Fusion 900, OIS), a 50 MP 3.2x floating telephoto with OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide.
Display: a 6.36-inch flat 1.5K LTPO OLED at 120 Hz, up to 3000 nits peak, with Dolby Vision and Gorilla Glass Victus.
Performance: the 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Charging: a 4610 mAh battery with 90W wired (full in ~31 min), 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless.
The compact body has limits. Reviewers noted notable thermal throttling under sustained heavy load, the ultrawide lacks autofocus, and the 32 MP selfie camera is only average. It now runs the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 rather than the 8 Elite of the Xiaomi 15, and it had no broad official Bangladesh launch, so most local stock is grey-market import. There's no headphone jack and no expandable storage.
The Xiaomi 14 is one of the best small Android flagships of its generation - full Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 power, a brilliant flat screen, and a Leica triple camera with real zoom in a hand-friendly frame. With prices down from launch it's strong value, provided you can live with some throttling and last-year's chip. Compare it against current compact flagships in our specs compare tool.
